Were you born to perform?

Welcome to the Fix Aerial Arts 2026 Student Performance Track
The Pathway to Artistry and Discipline
The Performance Track is for students ready to transition from recreational learning to the art of performance. This track emphasizes consistency, stagecraft, and technical precision and also serves as the prerequisite for students aspiring to the Elite Competition Track.

I. Candidate Profile
The Performance Track is ideal for students who seek to:
-
Perform in regional parades, community events, and studio showcases.
-
Develop the stamina and "performance quality" required for longer sequences.
-
Master the ability to take professional feedback and apply it immediately.
-
Work collaboratively within a team environment.
-
Entry Requirement: Current enrollment in Level 1+ and/or Instructor Approval.

II. Training & Commitment Standards
To ensure stage-readiness and safety, Performance Track students adhere to a higher standard of training than recreational students.

1. Enrollment Requirements
-
Performance Lab: Mandatory weekly enrollment in a designated Performance/Choreography class held Fridays 6–7 PM beginning January 22nd
-
Performance Intensive Workshop: Held Sunday, February 1st, 10 AM – 1 PM.
-
Technical Foundation: Minimum of one additional skills/technique class per week (two recommended).
-
Flexible Path for Advanced Students: Mid-to-high level performers with performance experience and a home setup may reach out to discuss alternative training paths (such as virtual skills check-ins or monthly workshops) if weekly technical classes are a scheduling barrier.
-
The Season: Students must commit to the full performance season (January – May).
2. The Professional Attendance Policy
Reliability is the foundation of a professional performer.
-
90% Attendance: Minimum attendance is required to remain in the choreography.
-
Absence Limit: Maximum of two excused absences per season.
-
The "Independent Study" Rule: If a class is missed, the student is responsible for learning the choreography via video or private training session before the next rehearsal.
-
Mandatory Rehearsals: Dress rehearsals and "Tech/Spacing" runs are non-negotiable. Failure to attend will result in removal from the routine for safety reasons.
III. Technical Readiness & Safety
Performance is a privilege earned through safety and strength.
-
Execution over Difficulty: Choreography is assigned/approved based on a student’s ability to execute skills with 100% control and proper form.
-
Evaluation: Coaches reserve the right to modify a student’s "peak skill" in a routine if it cannot be performed safely and consistently during rehearsals.
-
Conditioning: Students are expected to maintain the physical strength necessary to complete their 3–5 minute routines without exhaustion.
IV. Professionalism & Artistry
On this track, students begin training in the Four Pillars of Performance:
-
Stage Presence: Engaging the audience and maintaining "the mask" (expression).
-
Musicality: Understanding counts, rhythm, and hitting accents in the music.
-
Transitions: Making the "movement between the moves" look seamless.
-
Spatial Awareness: Navigating the stage safely in relation to other performers.
Students will also participate in a Team Panel, critiquing peers based on artistry, technique, and readiness to foster a culture of collective growth.
V. Season Logistics
-
Season Registration Fee: $250. This includes professional digital photos/video of the routine, costume fee, entry fees, music licensing, and the Performance Intensive Workshop.
-
Payment Plans: We offer Monthly Installment Plans to make this more manageable for families. Please contact us to set this up.
-
Call Times: Students must arrive at the designated "Call Time" (usually 60–90 minutes before showtime) for warm-ups and safety checks.
-
The Understudy Option: If you aren't ready to commit to every parade, ask us about the Understudy Track. You'll learn the choreo and train with the team with a lighter commitment—prepare now, decide later if you want to take the stage.
VI. Performance Schedule: Spring 2026
-
Rodeo Parade Performance: Saturday, April 11th (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM)

VII. The Next Step: The Elite Competition Track
